Who Did You “Should” on Today?

Who Did You “Should” on Today?

A note from our CEO, Nathalie Blais

Words like “should”, “must”, “have to”, “need to”, “ought to” may seem harmless, and yet they have the power to create your reality. When we say things like “I should really lose 10lbs” the emotional consequence is guilt. And when “should” is directed towards others (“he should stop ignoring me”) the result is anger, frustration and resentment. The truth is, “should” and similar language, is a fantasy of an ideal that does not exist and only reinforce the illusion.

A 2mm shift in language over time will lead to transformation. So the next time you start to “should” on yourself or others, think twice and face what is, not what could be.
