ICF Foundational Coach Certification Programs

Canada Coach Academy offers structured coach certification programs as an accredited  International Coaching Federation (ICF) Coaching Education Provider. Our programs are designed to qualify for ICF credentialing pathways while developing core coaching competencies, high ethical standards, and advanced coaching strategies.

Certified Life Coach (ICF Level 1)

This live virtual and accessible program is designed for individuals passionate about helping others achieve personal growth, balance, and well-being. Delivered online over 18 weeks, it includes 80 ICF coach education hours, 10 hours of ICF Group and Individual mentoring, coaching observation clinics, a coach exchange practicum, and a wellness toolbox. The curriculum is built on the THRIVE Coaching Model, a practical framework for guiding meaningful client conversations and lasting change. It’s ideal for people who are naturally curious about others, often sought out for advice, and drawn to empowering people through life transitions, challenges, confidence-building, and wellbeing. No prior background in psychology or health is required. Weekly time commitment is approximately 3–5 hours, and tuition is $5,900 with payment plans available. Graduates are prepared to apply for the ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential.

Certified Leadership Coach (ICF Level 1)

This live virtual and accessible program is specifically built for leaders, executives, managers, and team leaders in organizations who want to develop a coaching-oriented communication style. Certified Executive Coach (ICF Level 2)

Certified Professional Coach (ICF Level 2)

High-impact coaching strategies to differentiate themselves in a highly competitive landscape with Ivy League-quality coaching credentials. This ICF Level 2 accreditation program spans 28 weeks, with 125 ICF coach education hours, 11 hours of ICF Group and Individual Mentoring, observation clinics, a coach exchange practicum, and a Capstone Project ot tie in the learning and ground participants in practical application. Built on the trademarked PERFORM Coaching Model and backed by over 55,000 hours of curriculum design, coaching practice, mentoring and observation, as well as academic research, the program is led by expert facilitators in small, connected cohorts. Weekly commitment is 7–8 hours, and tuition is $11,700 with payment plans available up to seven months. Students have 12 months from their start date to complete all requirements. Graduates earn everything needed to apply for the ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) Level 2 credential.

Advanced ICF Coach Training (ICF Level 2)

This program is designed exclusively for coaches who already hold foundational ICF-approved training or equivalent and want to advance from ACC Level 1 ICF coaching to ICF Level 2 PCC coaching. Duration is 15 weeks and includes 65 hours of live virtual sessions, coaching observation clinics, a coach exchange practicum, an advanced resource toolbox, and three months of community membership. The curriculum features coach clinics, submission of live demos for mentoring, live peer reviews and feedback, and advanced theory to deepen coaching practice. It prepares coaches to work across industries, including corporate, nonprofit, and private coaching settings. Tuition is $4,900, with a $1,500 registration fee. Flexible payment plans are available.

Certified Master Coach (ICF Level 3)

This is Coach Academy’s most elite program, designed for experienced coaches who already hold approved coaching education and want to reach the pinnacle of the profession — the ICF Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential. Only about 4% of coaches worldwide achieve this designation, making it a true mark of distinction.

The program spans approximately 6 months of part-time study, combining 15 weeks of virtual learning with a 5-day, in-person symposium held at a destination location (to be determined). It includes 75 ICF coach education hours, 6 hours of group mentoring, 3 hours of individual mentoring, and requires students to log 40 practical coaching hours and 20 hours of being coached. The weekly coursework commitment is around 4–5 hours.

The curriculum is built around the PERFORM Coaching Model and dives deep into mastery-level topics such as co-creative dialogue, the art of lingering, self-concept and identity, meaning making, values and identity, narrative perspectives, positive provocation, and MCC markers. Students also complete weekly video reflections, coaching submissions, a capstone experience, and a final project presentation. Two guest speakers are featured throughout the program.

A major differentiator is the experiential, in-person symposium component where participants lead an experience alongside their peers — though the travel cost for this retreat is not included in tuition. The program also includes a 6-month Mastermind Community Membership, giving graduates access to ongoing peer learning, MCC-level feedback, coaching drills, and debriefs.

Tuition is $7,900 (taxes not included), with a $1,500 registration fee required to reserve a seat and payment plans are available for up to 3 months. Graduates earn the Coach Academy Certified Master Coach credential and are fully prepared to pursue the ICF Level 3 MCC designation.
